dc.description.abstractCryptography as a field of science that focuses on data and network security is one of the fields of science that demands innovation, as well as creativity both in the implementation, development, and creation of new methods.Cryptography itself is actively developed with the latest concepts in an effort to provide the best and updated data security. One of the cryptographic algorithms that has become the standard is Rijndael with 4x4 data block dimensions. Although sufficient, it does not mean that this algorithm does not require reinforcement in the form of combining algorithms or modifying algorithms. The use of an 8x8 data block is a form of modification that will be designed and implemented in an image security system. The encryption results from the modified Rijndael will then be compared with the original Rijndael using frequency analysis which focuses on the distribution of data evenly so as to eliminate patterns from cipherdata that can be used for the cryptanalyst process.en_US
