dc.description.abstract | Health Care quality in a hospital yields qualified service with beneficial
outcome for patients. Getting outcome highly depends on hospital's health care quality such as current professional knowledge by applying and integrating evidence based-practice in providing nursing care. It is also very important for nurses as the professional health care prodders in a hospital because they offer positive advantages in increasing patients' clinical outcome and in increasing nursing care quality. The objective of the research is to explore the experience of implementing evidence based-practice in providing nursing care in the Universitas Sumatera Utara Hospital. The research uses descriptive qualitative phenomenological approach. There are 12 participants, and the data are gathered by conducting in-depth interview and analyzed by using thematic analysis. It is found that there are six themes: l) implementing evidence based- nursing care, 2) nurses' understanding about evidence based-practice, 3) the advantages ofnurses ' understanding about evidence based-practice, 4) efficiency in service and patient satisfaction, 5) prohibitingfactors in implementing evidence based-practice, and 6) nurses' expectation in implementing evidence based- practice. | en_US |
