Dede Adam, The Influence of Land Usage in Mangrove Forest Concerning Soil Salinity and pH, Case Study at Langkat Regent, North Sumatera Guided by DENI ELFIATI and ABDUL RAUF. The purpose of this research is to know quality of sOil salinity and pHITom difference type ofland us&ge. This research was done in Laboratory Central,Faculty of Agriculture and Laboratory Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Science,The University of North Sumatra, was started from March up to April2005.Using complete random design factorial which have two treatment factorthat first factor type ofland usage (Z), second is ground deep (D).The. result of this. research shows. that the, quality of soil salinity and pHdecrease than in damage mangrove forest area quality of soil salinity more highand soH pH is more lower equal than a good condition of mangrove forest areas.Fish farm. for land usage was given a real impact concerning in soil salinity andsoil pH. The opening maijgrove forest becomillg an open land or fish farm canincrease or decrease soil· salinity and the pH with the result that soil becoming more acid. A mangrove forest stand can hold quick intrusion to land.
