dc.description.abstract | A research on mixture of hen and goat manures and the importance of fertilizer on
C-organic of soil, plant height, fresh weight of maize and dry grain, has been made. This
research was made in Sei Mencirim area and Central Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, North
Sumatera University, Medan for four months. The design used was Factorial Random Group
sampling with two factors was manure,
i. e,, hen and goat by dosages : Ku = without manure, K₁ = 8 kg hen manure (one
dosis), K2 = 8 kg of goat manure (1 dosis), K₃ = 4 kg of hen manure+ 4 kg of goat manure (½
dosis of hen manure + ½ dosis of goat manure). Second factor was fertilizer, i. e.,
Urea, TSP, and KC! by dosage: Fo = without fertilizer, F₁ = ½ dosis of fertilizer (Urea= 6,2 g,
TSP= 7 g, and KC!= 6,4 g). F₂ = l dosis of fertilizer (Urea= 12,4 g, TSP = 14 g, and KCl
= 12,8 g). The result of research indicated that application of hen and of goat manures
and fertilizer has a very significant effect on plant height, fresh maize and maize grain weight,
and significant effect on C-organic after 8 weeks of application, but it has no significant effect
on C-organik 4 weeks of application. The treatment K₁F₂ was better than another treatments in
improvement of plant height, but the treatment K₃F2 was the best to increase the fresh fruit weight
of maize and maize grain weight compared to another treatment | en_US |
