“Jenis, Prevalensi dan Intensitas Ektoparasit Pada Sapi Bali (Bos Sondaicus) di Taman Satwa Citra Pesona Ladangku, Pancur Batu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This study was conducted in March 2022 with the aim of knowing the type, prevalence and intensity of ectoparasites in Bali cattle (B. sondaicus) at Taman Citra Pesona Ladangku, Pancur Batu, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Sampling of ectoparasites using two methods, namely the method of insect nets (sweaping net) and the method of finger palpation throughout the body of Bali cattle. Sample identification was carried out at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of North Sumatra, Medan using a microscope. The types of ectoparasites found were Boophilus microplus, Musca domestica and Stomoxys calcitrans. Boophilus microplus, Musca domestica and Stomoxys calcitrans have a prevalence value of 100% with the attack rate always (always). Boophilus microplus attack intensity was 92.71 with severe attack level (heavy), Musca domestica attack intensity was 16.28 with moderate attack level and Stomoxys calcitrans attack intensity was 12,15 with moderate attack level.
