dc.description.abstractResearch has been carried out on the Identification and Prevalence of Ectoparasites in Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in calm water ponds in Tategger Village, Sub-District Angkola Muara Tais, District South Tapanuli from August to September 2022. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of ectoparasites, and analyze the prevalence and intensity of ectoparasite attacks on nile tilapia. The sample used in this study was 40 tilapia fish with a random sampling method. Sample identification was carried out at the USU FMIPA Animal Systematics Laboratory. The results obtained 2 types of ectoparasites, namely in pond 1 there was Gyrodactylus sp. with a prevalence of 10% (2 individuals) and an attacking intensity of 2.5, Trichodina sp. with a prevalence of 5% (1 head) and attack intensity of 2 was low and in pond 2 there was Gyrodactylus sp. with a prevalence of 5% (1 head) and an attacking intensity of 1.5, Trichodina sp. with a prevalence of 5% (1 head) and the intensity of attack 1 is low.en_US
