Analisis Permintaan Pertanggungan pada Perusahaan Asuransi Jiwa Pemerintah di Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The research is aimed at analyzing the influence of previous demand of life insurance premium, income per capita, company's asset, deposit interest rate and life expectancy in North Sumatra toward the demand of insurance through OLS Method during period of 1999-2004.The data processed is quarterly secondary data. The result of the study shows that the demand on government life insurance increases of company's internal factor that is the previous demand of life insurance and the company's asset of state life insurance in north Sumatra. The external factors influencing the demand of life insurance involve income per capita, deposit interest rate and life expectancy in North Sumatra. The estimation result shows that the variables of previous demand of life insurance premium, income per capita and company's asset give statistically positive and s.ignificantly .influences on the demand of Jjje insurance. MeanwbjJe~ deposit interest rate and life expectancy influence negatively and significantly. It means that the performance of state life insurance company and the recovery of macro economy in North Sumatra provide significant contribution to development of insurance demand on government life insurance.
