    Pengaruh Penambahan Garam Kalium Halida (Kcl dan KBr) terhadap Karakteristik Nanosilikon dari Pasir Alam secara Magnesiotermik

    Abstract
    Nanosilicon synthesis from natural sand has been carried out by adding each KCl and KBr salts to ultrasonication magnesiothermically. Silica was extracted from natural sand with the addition of NaOH10 N and HCl6 N and analyzed by FT-IR and XRD analysis. Ultrasonication of silica with salt (KCl and KBr) was carried out with a mole ratio of SiO2: Salt (KCl and KBr) was 1 :10. Then silica was reduced to silicon by magnesiothermically with a mole ratio of SiO2: Mg was 1 : 2, at 800ºC for 6 hours. Nanosilicon purification is done by adding a mixture of Deionized water and ethanol, HCl5 Nand HF10%. The results of purification with XRD analysis on the addition of KCl and KBr respectively were 86,6% and 77,7% with each particle size distribution were 49,43 nm – 83,95 nm and 43,21 nm – 153,89 nm. The EDX spectrum of SEM-EDX in nanosilicon with the addition of KCl shows a large enough silicon element. The adsorption-desorption isotherm (BET) analysis of KCl and KBr show type IV isotherm curves and average pore size on the addition is 3,178 nm and 4,266 nm respectively.
     
    Telah dilakukan sintesis nanosilikon dari pasir alam dengan penambahan masing-masing garam KCl dan KBr pada ultrasonikasi secara magnesiotermik. Silika diekstrak dari pasir alam dengan penambahan NaOH 10 N dan HCl 6 N dan di analisa dengan analisa FT-IR dan XRD. Ultrasonikasi silika dengan garam (KCl dan KBr) dilakukan dengan perbandingan mol SiO2 : Garam (KCl dan KBr) adalah 1 : 10 Selanjutnya silika di reduksi menjadi silikon secara magnesiotermik dengan perbandingan mol SiO2 : Mg adalah 1 : 2, pada suhu 800ºC selama 6 jam. Pemurnian nanosilikon dilakukan dengan penambahan campuran Deionized water dan etanol, HCl 5 N dan HF 10%. Hasil pemurnian dengan analisa XRD pada penambahan KCl dan KBr masing-masing yaitu 86,6 % dan 77,7 % dengan masing-masing distribusi ukuran partikel 49,43 nm- 83,95 nm dan 43,21 nm-153, 89 nm. Spektrum EDX dari SEM-EDX pada nanosilikon dengan penambahan KCl menunjukkan adanya unsur silikon yang cukup besar. Analisa adsorpsi-desorpsi isotherm (BET) masing-masing menunjukkan kurva isotherm tipe IV dan masing-masing ukuran pori rata-rata pada penambahan KCl dan KBr yaitu 3,178 nm dan 4,266 nm.
