Universal-Diverse Orientation pada Mahasiswa Universitas Sumatera Utara
Abstract
This study aims to provide an overview of universal-diverse orientation in
students at the University of North Sumatra. Universal-Diverse Orientation (UDO) is
an attitude of awareness and acceptance of both similarities and differences among
people. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive research type. The
sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling on 200 students at the
University of North Sumatra. The measuring instrument used is the Miville-Guzman
Universal-Diverse Scale – Short Form (MGUDS-S) developed by Miville (1999).
The results showed that 191 people (85.5%) students were categorized in high
universal-diverse orientation.
