dc.description.abstractNational identity is when individuals identify themselves in certain social groups, these individuals tend to evaluate and develop their self-esteem. the korean wave originates from Korea, that is, one of the countries that has a fast-paced industrial development. The industrial development in Korea opens up opportunities for the development of its cultural potential through music and fashion to be introduced to other countries. In this research, the method that will be used is descriptive quantitative research. The number of samples in this study were 100 respondents. From the results of the study, it was shown that the national identity picture for korean wave fan students was categorized as high with a frequency score of 84 (84%). Based on the aspect of national identity, namely Self categorization, Self categorization, with a high category of 14 (14%), students' self-esteem aspects. high category for 19 (19%) students, effective component aspect, there is a high category for 87 (87%). National identity is influenced by several factors, namely, primordial, sacred and bhinneka tunggal ika.en_US
