dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study was to describe resilience in adolescents who experience body shaming. Resilience is an individual's capacity to adapt and survive when individuals experience a bad event in life. This research includes descriptive quantitative research with a questionnaire method. The subjects in this study involved 132 adolescents aged 12-21 years. The instrument in this study was a resilience questionnaire designed by Devi Nurhani (2021) which was compiled based on the theory of Reivich & Shatte (2002) which consists of seven aspects is emotion regulation, impulse control, optimism, causal analysis, empathy, self-efficacy, and reaching out. The description in this study was made based on age, gender, and level of education. The results of this study showed that: 9 teenagers (6.8%) had a very high level of resilience, 27 teenagers (20.5%) had a high level of resilience, 55 teenagers (41.7%) had a moderate level of resilience, 34 teenagers (25.8%) had a low level of resilience, and 7 teenagers (5.3%) had a very low level of resilience. | en_US |
