dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the influence of Aluminium Saturation index on the growth and production response of some Peanut Varieties in Ultisol. The research is conducted for 3 month (from January to April 2009) it used split plot design, consisted of two factor of treatmen the first factor that main plot was Aluminium saturation indeks (36,26 %, 27,20 , 18,13 % dan 9,07 %), and the second factor that sub plot was varieties (Kclinci, Bima, Singa varieties) in Simalingkar B, Medan North Sumatra where these ± 25 m above the sea level. The result showed that the maximal growth and production of peanut is reached at aluminium saturation index 9,07%.The growth of Singa Peanut Variety is better than the Kelinci and Bima varieties, meanwhile, the yield of Kelinci Peanut Variety is higher than Bima and Singa varieties.The maximal growth of Kelinci, Bima, and Singa peanut varieties will reach the maximum at aluminium saturation index 9,07 %, which the production of Kelinci.en_US
