dc.description.abstract | This study aims to describe perceived support for archery athletes in Medan. In competition, it is such a common for an athlete to experience situations that can cause stress and anxiety that can interfere with the athlete's performance. One thing that can help overcome anxiety in competition is the support and motivation of the people around the athlete. The athlete's subjective thinking that friends, family, teammates, and coaches will provide assistance if needed (perceived support) is sufficient to pull the athlete out of adversity without actually receiving the support. This research gained data from 33 archers in Medan. Perceived support was measured using The PASS-Q that has been adapted to Indonesian language. The results showed that most of the respondents had good perceived support which was characterized by athletes feeling confident, feel safe and comfortable, feel that athletes are cared for, and feel that they have someone who provides sufficient information regarding the performance or event of the match. | en_US |
