Nowadays, successful treatment of cancer is not only measured by 5- years survival rate, but also how is the quality of life of patients. Delayed in seeking treatment resulted in high morbidity and impact on quality of life. This study aims to assess the quality of life of patients with gynecologic cancer after therapy. The results of this research can be used as a basis that cancer treatment should be holistic, not only eradicate the disease, but also improved quality of life. 47 survey respondents who went to Gyneco-oncology outpatient clinic at RSUP Dr H. Adam Malik Medan from May to October, 2015 were asked to fill out a questionnaire with FACT-G for the assessment of quality of life. Personal data and disease were taken from the medical records. The data then statistically analyzed with SPSS and the test used is one way Anova. The results showed that the physical, social, emotional and functional of cancer patients are not much different based on the variables studied. Higher quality of life found in patients with endometrial cancer than any other cancer, for the treatment modality higher quality of life in patients undergoing radiation, for the duration of treatment is higher on treatment for more than 6 months, and for stage higher in early stages. There is no statistical difference of the quality of life of patients with gynecologic cancer based on therapeutic modalities, duration of treatment and the stage of disease (p> 0.05). The conclusion of this study is the quality of life of patients with gynecologic cancer who came to control after treatment is generally good, although the physical and emotional complaints are still encountered.
