Objective : Aim of this study was to determine the knowledge levels and attitudes of pregnant women with a history of prior caesarean section in determining the next method of delivery. Methods : This study using descriptive survey research using questionnaires. conducted in pregnant women at Ante Natal Care Unit Adam Malik General Hospital Medan with the subject of pregnant women with a history of prior caesarean section. from June, 2012 until February, 2013. Result: This research was conducted on 40 pregnant women with a history of prior caesarean section. In this study the level of knowledge obtained pregnant women with a history of prior cesarean to determine the next delivery methods was in a good level as 26 people (65%) were able to answer correctly according to theories. As for the attitude of pregnant women with a history of prior cesarean to determine the next delivery methods also fit in a good category, as 28 people (70%) had the attitude that should be owned by pregnant women with a history of prior Caesarean section. Conclusion : We found that the level of knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women with a history of prior caesarean section in a good category to determine the next delivery method. However, we did not know what factors affecting the condition. More counseling and education were needed for pregnant women about Caesarean section, as well as further research on the factors that contribute to the decision making subsequent delivery method.
