Welding business is one of the informal industries that lack adequate facilities related to occupational safety and health. Welding is not an easy job because it has a very high risk of physical hazards. One of the dangers that is very risky in welding is the high intensity of welding light, which can affect vision in the eyes when the eyes experience fatigue. Eye fatigue is the occurrence of eye muscle fatigue and eye nerve fatigue as a result of continuous tension in the eye. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of eye fatigue in welding workers in the Kota Matsum I Village in 2022. This type of research is a descriptive study that aims to determine and measure the description of eye fatigue in welding workshop workers in the Kota Matsum I Village in 2022, Medan Area District. The population in this study was 30 welding workers. The sample in this study was 30 respondents. The measurement method for eye fatigue uses a flicker fusion device and the method for data analysis uses univariate analysis. The results showed that as many as 22 people (73,33%) experienced eye fatigue and 8 people (26,66%) did not experience eye fatigue. Suggestions for welding workers should always rest their eyes when they have done a lot of welding so that their eyes are not too tired and can work again.
