dc.description.abstractHas done research on the magnetic based materials as electromagnetic wave absorber material. Bi2-xLaxFe4O9 materials is synthesized by solid state reaction method by mechanical milling technic. The materials are milled using High Energy Milling PW1000 for 5 hours. After that the material is dried using oven with temperatures > 100 and then sintered in the furnace by holding temperatures up to 800 . Then do the characterization of samples using XRD tools, SEM-EDS, VNA and PSA. Where XRD is to look at the phase formed on the sample, SEM-EDS to see the morphological structure, VNA to see the size of the sample in the absorption of the electromagnetic waves and PSA to see the particle size distrubtion with the number parameter in percent. The characterization results show that the Bi2-xLaxFe4O9 phase has an orthorhombic crystal structure and the BiFeO3 phase has an trigonal crystal structure. And the results of VNA and PSA shows that the best sample is x = 0.2 with the absorption ability of electromagnetic waves of -21 dB with frequency of 11.2 GHz. Because the lower of the reflaction loss value so material the higher the ability of the material to absorb electromagnetic waves. And also has a particle size of 578.5 nm with particle size distrubtion reaching 76.9 %.en_US
