A research on the manufacture of sisal fiber composites using volume fraction was completed. This research was conducted to determine the effect of increasing the volume of sisal when it was made into composite with epoxy resin adhesive. The manufacture of these composites employed the hand lay-up method and used a hot-press at the 100℃ temperature for 15 minutes to speed up the curing process. The composition of fiber volume addition varied, within 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%of the total sample volume. To get the best results, testing parameters were employed, such as physical test, mechanical test, and SEM-EDX. The result of the physical test include the optimum density test at 0.940 g/cm3; the best value in the porosity test at the 0.65%; while the water adsorption test showed 0.851% for the best composition. For the mechanical composites test, the test sample obtained the best tensile strength value of 11.572 MPa, and for the impact strength the optimum value of 13286.31 J/m2 was obtained. The results of SEM-EDX test showed that the condition of the sample was very good because the porosity that was generated through the surface was nearly absent and also the EDX test had also succeeded in loading the elements in the surface of composites.
