Background: Acute leukemia is a hematopoietic progenitor cell disorder characterized by the presence of 20% or more blast cells. Liver toxicity occurs by infiltration of leukemic cells and by administration of chemotherapeutic agents which is described by an increase in SGOT and SGPT levels. Objective: To determine the effect before and after the induction and consolidation phase of chemotherapy on increasing levels of SGOT and SGPT in children with standard risk of ALL. Methods: Analytical analyses with prospective longitudinal study in ALL children aged  18 years at the RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan from January 2019-April 2021. Assessment of liver toxicity by examination of SGOT and SGPT levels before and after chemotherapy. To assess the difference between two variables with the Wilcoxon test and the Friedman test followed by Post-Hoc test with Wilcoxon. Results: A total of 54 children were analyzed. The mean levels of SGOT and SGPT before and after chemotherapy had a significant correlation (p = 0.001) in induction phase but they had no correlation in consolidation phase (p=0,466 for SGOT, p=0,753 for SGPT). Measurements of SGOT levels had two difference (p=0,001) and SGPT levels had four difference (p=0,001; p=0,048) in induction phase but they had no difference in consolidation phase. Conclusion: There is a difference in the mean levels of SGOT and SGPT before and after completion of chemotherapy in the induction phase, not in the consolidation phase. Measurements of SGOT and SGPT levels have differences during chemotherapy in the induction phase, not in the consolidation phase.en_US
