| dc.description.abstract | Determining the distribution route is important for companies to optimize the distribution process. As a seller of gallons of refill drinking water, Depot Rikfy Water needs to pay attention on selecting the optimal route because it affects the distance, cost and delivery time of gallons. So far, the distribution activities of the Depot Rifky Water have been carried out based on the estimated route results from the driver, the delivery delays often occur without regard to the capacity of the transportation equipment used. The Saving Matrix is a method for determining the optimal distribution route. The Saving Matrix method can determine the optimal combined route by considering the capacity of the distribution conveyance and the sequencing of the route using the Nearest Neighbor. This research succeeded in obtaining a better distribution route in terms of distance, cost, and time for both means of transportation. The results obtained are distance savings of 32.05% on motorized tricycles 1 and 50.05% on motorized tricycles 2, cost savings of 6.78%, and distribution time savings of 28.25% on motorized tricycles 1 and on motor tricycles 2 by 50.05%. | en_US |
