Tingkat Pengetahuan pada Mahasiswa Preklinik FKG USU Tentang Bahan Bone Graft
Abstract
Bone graft is one of the most generally used surgical procedures to enhance bone regeneration by replacing the lost bone with materials from the patient's body, artificial, synthetic, or natural substitutes. As forthcoming dentists who will carry out bone graft procedures later, dental students are expected to know about bone graft materials. This study aimed to determine differences in the knowledge of preclinical students at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sumatera Utara about bone graft materials. This research is a descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional approach using a closed questionnaire. Sampling was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling method according to the inclusion criteria and received 284 respondents with 16 questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. The analytical test used is the Chi-square Test. The analysis showed a significant difference in knowledge between the group of respondents who had received and those who had not received material on bone graft with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05).
