dc.description.abstractCompost produced from empty fruit bunches and palm oil mill effluent can be used as organic fertiliser (bokashi). The addition of chemical material in the form of kithin compund found in shrimp waste, during the production of the organic fertiliser, in fact has a role to initiate microorganisme to work on decomposing organic material within the compost. It is proven from the analysis result of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), value of Kappa number and percentage of pentosan, each against empty fruit bunches , compost, and produced organics fertiliser. In addition, the organics fertiliser is also alive organics material, proven from the testing result of its application towards strawbery farm production.en_US
