The flavonoid compound had been isolated from the leaves of (Macaranga triloba (Thumb.) Mull.Arg). Isolation was carried out using maceration extraction method with methanol. Methanol extract was re-extracted with ethyl acetate repeatedly until negative to 5% FeCl3.The Ethyl acetate extract was evaporated until solid and partitioned with n-hexane until the n-hexane layer was clear, the methanol layer is separated from the n-hexane layer. The methanol layer was evaporated until solid. The methanol solid extract was separated by column chromatography with silica gel 60 as the stationary phase and chloroform - methanol as the eluent as mobile phase (90:10; 80:20; 70:30; 60:40)v/v. Purification was carried out on fraction 186-271 by preparative thin layer chromatography and resulted in 8 mg of isolate in the form of a yellowish brown amorphous solid with a value of Rf 0.82 with chloroform - methanol (80:20)v/v eluent. The UV-Visible spectrum of the isolate shows a wavelength absorption (λmax) of 362 nm in band I and 255 nm in band II. The FT-IR spectrum of the isolates showed the presence of OH groups, symmetric and asymmetric C-H stretching, C=H bending, C=O, C=C aromatic and C-O. Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrum (1H-NMR) of the isolate shows the presence of H-2' protons; H-5'; H-6'; H-6; H-8; OCH3/OH. From the results of the analysis and interpretation of the data, the isolated compounds obtained are flavonoid compounds of the flavonol group.
