Abstract
The use of solar power as a renewable energy is increasingly being used, solar
power produces environmentally friendly energy by converting sunlight into electrical
energy using solar panels. The electric power generated by solar panels depends on
the intensity of sunlight and the working temperature of the solar panels. Weather
conditions and the position of the sun are always changing, making the output power
of solar panels fluctuate and do not always remain at maximum power conditions.
Therefore we need technology that can regulate the function of charging the battery
and releasing current from the battery to the load. Therefore,An experiment of buck
booster solar cell charger controller has been done and the prototype had been built.
The fluctuation of the sun's shine energy can be anticipated by a buckbooster chip
XL6009 in order to produce a constantvoltage output of 15.1 volt. The change in
feeding current to the battery just prolonged the time of charging, but in average the
battery is fully charged in 5 hours. A current booster is needed in parallel to the buck
booster in order to use the solar charger controller to charge a bigger
batteries,anyway, the arduino uno is used to check and to stop charging, whenever the
charging voltage reached the specified voltage, in this experiment 14.8 volt is reached
to stop charging.
