    Adsorpsi Asam Lemak Bebas dari Minyak Sawit Mentah Menggunakan Adsorben Kalsium Silikat (CaSiO3) Template Gliserol

    Abstract
    Research has been conducted on the reduction of free fatty acid content in crude palm oil by adsorption method using calcium silicate adsorbent (CaSiO3) glycerol template. The experimental results show that CaSiO3 template glycerol adsorbent can be used as an adsorbent. Decrease in free fatty acid levels in crude palm oil is carried out by adsorption method. The study was conducted with variations in template concentration, adsorbent mass and stirring time during the adsorption process. Determination of free fatty acid content in crude palm oil was carried out by titration method using a standard NaOH solution of 0.0993 N. Based on the adsorption process, the largest FFA adsorption results were obtained by using CTG5 adsorbent. The highest absorption rate of FFA was obtained by using CTG5 adsorbent with adsorbent mass of 1.5 g and stirring time for 7 minutes which was 79.921% with the weight of FFA adsorbed as much as 0.203 g FFA of 0.254 g FFA in 2 g of CPO. While the smallest FFA absorption rate was obtained by using CTG10 adsorbent with 0.5 g adsorbent mass and stirring time for 1 minute which was 22.047% with the weight of FFA adsorbed as much as 0.056 g FFA from 0.254 g FFA in 2 g of CPO.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penurunan kandungan asam lemak bebas dalam minyak sawit mentah dengan metode adsorpsi menggunakan adsorben kalsium silikat (CaSiO3) template gliserol. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa adsorben CaSiO3 template gliserol dapat digunakan sebagai adsorben. Penurunan kadar asam lemak bebas pada minyak sawit mentah dilakukan dengan metode adsorpsi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan variasi konsentrasi template, massa adsorben dan waktu pengadukan selama proses adsorpsi. Penentuan kadar asam lemak bebas pada minyak sawit mentah dilakukan dengan metode titrasi dengan menggunakan larutan standar NaOH 0,0993 N. Berdasarkan proses adsorpsi tersebut, secara umum diperoleh hasil adsorpsi ALB terbesar yaitu dengan menggunakan adsorben CTG5. Tingkat penyerapan ALB terbesar diperoleh dengan menggunakan adsorben CTG5 dengan massa adsorben 1,5 g dan waktu pengadukan selama 7 menit yaitu sebesar 79,921% dengan berat ALB yang teradsorpsi sebanyak 0,203 g ALB dari 0,254 g ALB dalam 2 g CPO. Sedangkan tingkat penyerapan ALB terkecil diperoleh dengan menggunakan adsorben CTG10 dengan massa adsorben 0,5 g dan waktu pengadukan selama 1 menit yaitu sebesar 22,047% dengan berat ALB yang teradsorpsi sebanyak 0,056 g ALB dari 0,254 g ALB dalam 2 g CPO.
