dc.description.abstractProduction planning is one of the important issues for a company, related to inventory control in order to produce the optimal number of products and profits. Good planning can optimize the total cost so that the company can grow. Production planning and inventory control arise because of problems encountered such as excess or shortage of inventory. Production planning problems are often found in companies and home industries, one of which is CV Mulia Genteng Beton Medan which produces Paving Blocks. The purpose of this research is to obtain optimal production planning so that the costs incurred are kept to a minimum. In this study the authors used the deterministic dynamic programming method with a forward recursive approach. This method can optimize the total cost of production. Based on the results of this study, the optimal amount of production every month in 2022 is obtained and the total production cost is IDR 6,628,624,000.-.The total profit obtained without using the Dynamic Program is Rp. 692,193,277, - and the profit obtained by using the Dynamic Program is Rp. 699,179,840, - so the total profit difference is Rp. IDR 6,986,563/yearen_US
