    Abstract
    Technology has become one of the supporting aspects of changing times because technology provides human convenience in everyday life. Technology makes it easier for humans to do things, saves times and in certain technological processes can save costs. Simplicity and instant process is one of the reason why technology is so popular with the people. Technology is one of aspects that brings changes to the game models available today. Higgs Domino Island is a form of online game that improvises with advances in technology. Higgs Domino Island games originate from conventional games such as chess, congklak, playing cards, dominoes and others. Higgs Domino Island game has a slot game mode or a mode that requires bets to play. This slot game mode is the most popular mode among all game modes in the Higgs Domino Island application. This study aims to determine the motives of adolescents to play Higgs Domino Island and the impact it has. The method used in this research is a qualitative with a case study approach, through observation, documentation and in-depth interviews with informants. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique in which there are 5 criteria by interviewing 14 informants. Presentation of data refers to the theory of Hyper reality by Jean Baudrillard which explains how falsehood is mixed with reality so that the original reality becomes pseudo. As a result, the ease of access, the flexibility of the game and the tendency for profits to be obtained in a short time have made the Higgs Domino Island game popular among teenagers as the users of the Higgs Domino Island application in Serapuh Village. This is what makes teenagers interested in playing the game, especially the teenagers in Serapuh Village who play the game. The young generation who plays Higgs Domino Island in Serapuh Village no longer view the game as a medium of entertainment or self-relaxation but instead have the ambition to get profits, namely money in an instant way that will impact the lives of teenagers who become consumptive, lazy, wasteful, and even addicted to gambling in the Higgs Domino Island game.
