dc.description.abstract | Mangrove forest area is a very productive ecosystem and has high potential to be utilized, one of which is for mud crab cultivation (Scylla Spp.) The carrying capacity of the environment is decreasing, such as unwanted physical, chemical and biological changes in aquatic ecosystems that affect in life sources, living conditions and industrial processes. The purpose of this study was to determine the status of water quality in estuarine waters based on physic-chemical parameters and to determine the suitability of mud crab (Scylla spp.) cultivation based on the Equal Interval Index. This research was conducted in September - October 2022 at Sei Tuan Indah Beach, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The research is used purposive sampling method. The stations used consist of station I which is a mangrove rehabilitation area, station II is a mangrove ecotourism area and station III is an aquaculture area. The results of this study were based on the CCME Index at station I found a value of 90,33 (good), station II found a value of 91,3 (good) and station III found a value of 78,53 (fair). Based on the Equal Interval Index at station I with a value of 88,75 (very suitable), station II with value of 88,75 (very suitable) and station III with a value of 82,75 (very suitable). | en_US |
