dc.description.abstractThe research has been done on manufacturing of polymer concrete which was made from sand, fly sh, waste of fiber water hyacinth and epoxy resin. Manufacture of sample wasmade with sieving stage of 100 mesh, mixing the materials with composition of sand and fly ash (1:1) or (50:50)gr, fiber of water hyacinth (0,1,2,3,4,5)gr and epoxy resin (20,25,30)gr, then hot pressed with temperature of 90oC for 30 minutes, which is used hotpress method. Parameterer was observedby the experiment of density, porosity, water absorbing, bending strength, press strength, impact strength, and the experiment of microstructure by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscop). The result of this research showed that the optimum mixture is : physical characteristic which involve density =1,66gr/cm3, porosity =2,3%, water absorbing =1,6%. Mechanical characteristic which involved bending strenght = 101,58 MPa, press strength = 31,82 MPa and impact strenght = 0,586 kJ/m2. The result of photograph by SEM to microstructure of polymer concrete that the porosity is not spread distributed. This polymer concrete are lighter than conventional concrete.en_US
