Mangroves are renewable resources that provide services related to the
environment, such as abrasion protection, reduction of the height and speed of
ocean waves, cleaning of water contaminants, which are essential to support
living beings. Research objective to study and evaluate the impact of planting
distance from the beach that is useful to increase the growth of mangrove
Rhizophora apiculata, This study used a randomized Block Design (RAK)
consisting of 5 treatments with 6 replications. The treatments were planting
distance with P0 = 41 meters, P1 = 42 Meters, P2 = 43 Meters, P3 = 44 meters
and p4 = 45 meters. From the observation of seedling height, seedling diameter,
leaf length, number of leaves, leaf width, wet weight and dry weight it can be
concluded that the spacing treatment does not affect plant growth and can be
expressed as insignificant.
