dc.description.abstract | The dynamic conditions of the coastal area with various ecosystems adjacent and
it’s intercorrelation with one another is rarely studied. Changes in the coastline
defines as one form of dynamics occurs continuous. One of these changes was
abrasion, therefore it is necessary to select the appropriate species for the
mangrove restoration program. This study aims to analyze the effect of the growth
using Avicennia alba progalues on the depth of erosion in the green house
simulation. This research started from August 2022 to January 2023. Data were
collected once a month by cutting polybags with 3 cm deep. The results showed
that the effect of abrasion on height, stem diameter, root length, primary and
secondary root diameter had a positive correlation. The percentage of Avicennia
alba seedlings that died was 15.27% and the percentage that were survival rate
was 84.73% from a total of 72 seedlings. The effect of stem height, stem diameter,
root length, primary root diameter and secondary root diameter on erosion depth
has a positive correlation. This means that when the stem height, the stem
diameter, root length, root diameter increase then the depth of the erosion also
increases. Based on the research, the root length and primary root diameter of
Avicennia alba are directly proportional to the depth of erosion. | en_US |
