| dc.description.abstract | Torgamba Subdistrict, South Labuhanbatu Regency is one of the marginal land
distribution areas that has a low fertility rate. For this reason, many communities
around the forest depend on their lives by utilizing forest products that can threaten
forest sustainability. Planting MPTS of water apple type can be used as a solution
to the problem. The purpose of this study was to obtain the optimal dose of nasa
liquid fertilizer and watering interval against the growth of the water apple
(Syzygium aqueum). This research was carried out in the greenhouse of the Faculty
of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra in June-September 2022. Using a
Factorial Complete Randomized Design with 2 factors, namely the dose of nasa
liquid organic fertilizer (0 ml, 15 ml, 30 ml, 45 ml) and the watering interval (once
every 1 day, once every 3 days, once every 5 days, once every 7 days) so that 16
treatments with 3 tests. Research results show that the treatment interaction
between nasa liquid organic fertilizer and watering intervals showed results that
had a noticeable effect on height but had no noticeable effect on the diameter,
number of leaves, upper wet weight, upper dry weight, lower wet weight, lower dry
weight of the water apple. N3 treatment (fertilizer dose 45 ml) and watering interval
of once every 1 day obtained the best results on each of the measured parameters. | en_US |
