Kajian Sifat Fisika Tanah Gambut pada Lahan Rawa dan Lahan Perkebunan di Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau

Abstract

This study of peat soil physics is carried out as the first consideration in determining the feasibility of a land for plant cultivation. This study aims to analyze the Study of the Physical Properties of Peat Soil in Swamp Land and Plantation Land in the City of Dumai, Riau Province. The parameters observed were organic matter, bulk density, particle density, porosity, soil water content, soil texture, peat type based on peat maturity, soil pH and soil color. From the results of the study it was found that peat soil in swamp land and plantation land is included in a feasible condition so that it can be used as agricultural land.
