| dc.description.abstract | Marginal land is dry land that has limited nutrient content and low productivity.
The addition of organic fertilizers can improve the physical properties and
fertility of the soil. That way marginal land can be utilized. The Avocado plant
(Persea americana Mill.) is one of the beneficial plants to grow. Avocado is a
plant that can produce fruit that has a high selling value and has several benefits.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying manure and eco
enzymes on the growth of Avocado seedlings (Persea americana Mill.) on
marginal soils. This research was carried out at the Aek Raso Nature Park
(Elephant Training Center) Aek Raso Village, Torgamba District, Labuhan
Regency. This research was conducted from July to October 2022. Using a
Factorial Complete Randomized Design with 2 factors, namely manure doses (0
gr, 500 gr, 1000 gr) and eco enzymes (0 ml, 10 ml, 20 ml, 30 ml) so that 48
treatments with 4 tests were obtained. The results showed that the interaction in
the treatment of manure and eco enzymes on the parameters of plant height and
the number of plant leaves and had an unreal effect on the parameters of plant
diameter, fresh weight of the upper part of the plant, fresh weight of the lower
part of the plant, dry weight of the upper part of the plant and dry weight of the
lower part of the plant. The D2K1, D2K2 and D3K2 treatments gave optimal
results on the growth of avocado seedlings (Persea americana Mill.) during 3
months of observation. | en_US |
