| dc.description.abstract | Traditional medicine, which is carried out using medicinal plants, has
been carried out since ancient times by the people of Indonesia, especially in
rural areas, and is still used today. Besides being rich in plant diversity,
Indonesia is also rich in ethnic and cultural diversity. Ethnomedicine research is
a method of documenting the use of plants by ethnic groups using scientifically
accepted research methods. The Simalungun community in Pulibuah Village uses
medicinal plants as traditional medicines that have been known for generations.
The people of Pulibuah Village know the types of medicinal plants, their benefits
and how to process them traditionally. This knowledge has existed since the time
of the ancestors of Pulibuah Village and is a local wisdom that has survived to
this day, but this knowledge has begun to decline. The results of the research in
Pulibuah Village showed that 34 types of plants were used as traditional medicine
and were classified into 18 families. The Simalungun community in Pulibuah
Village uses eight parts of this plant as ingredients for traditional medicine. The
most widely used plant parts for cooking, and the highest percentage of
knowledge about medicinal plant species was langlangkabung (Coleus
scutellarioides) of 56,66%. The minimum proportion is 3,33% Turmeric
