In chili cultivation, the use of quality seeds is one of the important factors that determine production results. In general, chili peppers are still produced manually with a low capacity. Therefore, in this study I tested the performance of one of the test equipment on the effect of the number and type of blades on the chili seed separator. The shape of the blade used in this study is a blunt blade 12:13, a sharp blade 12:13, a blunt blade 10:13 and a sharp blade 10:13. The results of the study obtained were that the highest effective capacity of the tool using a sharp blade of 10: 13 was 46,796 kg / hour and the lowest in the use of a blunt blade 10: 13 was 44.701 kg / hour. The highest average percentage of lagging material is for a blunt blade of 12:13 is 2.6% and the lowest in a sharp blade of 12:13 is 1.1%. The highest average percentage of non-segregated material is found in 10:13 sharp blades at 4.32% and the lowest at 12:13 blunt blades at 1.62%. The BEP value is 404,064 kilograms annually. The value of 6% NPV is IDR. 24,827,014,436 /year and 10% NPV is IDR. 19,729,721,146/year and an IRR value is 29,2%.
