dc.description.abstract | This thesis analyzes and describes about Donald Trump's strategy in
dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in America. At the beginning of 2020 there
was an attack of the Corona virus that originated from Wuhan, China and has
attacked many countries around the world so that WHO categorizes this virus as a
pandemic outbreak. America has been significantly affected by the negative
impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, its rapid spread and symptoms similar to
those of a fever have caused many Americans to contract this virus. This also
resulted in many companies reducing the number of employees and even closing
companies, so that the unemployment rate increased and the demand for
unemployment assistance increased, causing the American economy to experience
a recession. To respond to the economic recession that occurred in America,
Donald Trump and congress issued The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic
Security a law that allocates funds of 2.3 trillion dollars to states in America,
unemployment, hospitals, etc.
However, the implementation of this Act did not get a positive response from
the American community, this was due to the uneven distribution of aid funds to
the American population and caused a debate between the Republican Party and
the Democratic Party. Due to many problems with The Coronavirus Aid, Relief,
and Economic Security such as unemployment that does not decrease, salary
assistance programs that are not evenly distributed, minority communities who
have difficulty getting access to health have caused funds of 2.3 trillion to be
unable to help repair the economic recession in Indonesia. America. Local
governments from the Democratic Party are taking individual steps to respond to
this pandemic, while those from the Republican Party remain compliant with
Donald Trump's directives. | en_US |
