Work ethic is a very important aspect in an organization, including public organizations. Work ethic includes attitudes and views on work habits, characteristics or traits regarding the way of working that is owned by a person or a group of people. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the influence of work ethic and employee performance at the Department of Cleanliness and Landscaping in Medan City. The research method used is a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study were all employees in Department of Cleanliness and Lamdscaping in Medan City. The sample used was 94 respondents. Sampling was done using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) system. The results of this study indicate that work ethic has a positive influence on employee performance as evidenced by a t statistic of 40.644 (>1,6). Based on calculations with the coefficient of determination obtained R Square value of 0.781 which shows that the organizational culture variable has an effect of 78.1% on employee performance, while the other 21.9% is influenced by other factors.
