dc.description.abstractThe service of making e-KTP is one example of a form of public service provided by the government apparatus. The success of an organization in providing maximum service is influenced by the effectiveness of employee work or work results achieved by an employee Sedarmayanti (2009:73) explained that employee work effectiveness can be measured in three dimensions, namely quality, quantity, and time. Problems that are often found related to making e KTP such as the occurrence of illegal levies, people are lazy to take care of e KTP, employees discriminate between the community in providing services, employees are not disciplined in service time, and employees are not punctual in issuing e-KTP. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of employee work in making Electronic Identity Cards (E-KTP) at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Binjai City, North Sumatra. The research method used in this study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique to explore the information that will be the basis of this study uses purposive sampling techniques. To test the validity of the information found using data triangulation, it means that the data can be said to be valid if there is consistency or compatibility between the information provided by one informant and another informant regarding the effectiveness of employee performance in making an Electronic Identity Card (E-KTP) at the Binjai City Population and Civil Registration Service. The results showed that employees have the ability to do work in accordance with the field of work, work results and services provided by employees in accordance with community expectations, besides that employees also have a commitment to provide services to the community optimally. The number of employees is adequate and the productivity of employees in making e KTP is seen from the people who already have an e-KTP has reached more than 90%. Utilization of time applied by employees in the management of e-KTP in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and in accordance with predetermined working hours. Employees in the Binjai City Population and Civil Registration Service are supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure. However, there are still people who have not made e-KTP in Binjai City due to the lack of public knowledge in managing e-KTP.en_US
