This design aims to address the problems faced by businesses loundry on
providing for washing machines and dryers that can work quickly. Therefore, to
design that aims to produce a unit of portable clothes dryer with AC disa-oriented
home on electrical energy efficiency measures that can be applied to small and
large scale. The design of all components of the physical models of clothes dryers
in the units is based on the results of theoretical calculations and the use of heat
pumps operate using the vapor compression cycle into a boundary problem. The
benefits of this design is to meet the needs of drying clothes in the household
sector, particularly laundry business in Indonesia. The method used to achieve the
goal is through thermodynamic calculations and the calculations used condenser
with refrigerant R-22. Conclusion This design is obtained coefficient of
performance (COP) and get the condenser load at the time when the superheated
and condensing, logarithmic average temperature difference (LMTD) and the
length of the condenser pipe. High Performance Coefficient is desirable because
it shows that a certain amount of refrigeration work requires only a small amount
of work in the drying process.
