This article is entitled Strategy for the Survival of Motorized Becak Pullers in Padang Bulan Village, Medan City. This study aims to describe qualitatively what happens in society. In this case, this research was conducted to describe the Survival Strategy for Motorized Becak Pullers in Padang Bulan Village, Medan City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. During the research, researchers tried to observe directly and conduct in-depth interviews with motorized trishaw pullers to dig deeper into the motives and strategies used to maintain their jobs during the co-19 pandemic and after the co-19 pandemic. The results of this study explain that the motive of the motorized rickshaw pullers in the Padang Bulan sub-district to retain their jobs is due to age, not being interested in switching to other jobs, lack of work experience, having no other skills, low educational background, and having values or view of life that sustenance has been arranged by God Almighty. Meanwhile, the In Order to Motive for pulling motorbike rickshaws is to fulfill family needs, pay for school children, pay rent, want to work freely without setting working hours and work systems and want to have their own home. In maintaining their lives during the covid-19 pandemic and after the covid-19 pandemic, these motorbike rickshaw pullers carried out strategies including: 1) a strategy of self-restraint; refrain from setting tariffs, skimp and avoid conflicts with online transportation. 2) Alternative Subsistence; using resources at home, increasing working hours, building a memorable image of communication, maintaining customer satisfaction, comfort and safety, maintaining the appearance of oneself and the rickshaw. 3) Social networks; build relationships between motorized trishaws, participate in organizational activities and borrow money from neighbors. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in the income of motorized trishaw pullers during the Covid-19 pandemic and after the Covid-19 pandemic. During the Covid-19 pandemic, their income dropped dramatically because of the PSBB which made them lose many customers. After the covid-19 pandemic, they still kept their jobs even though they were in the midst of online transportation.This study aims to find out and analyze what the motives are for motorbike rickshaw driver in Padang Bulan Village, Medan City in maintaining their jobs and fulfilling their daily lives during the co-19 pandemic and after the co-19 pandemic and what strategies are used by motorized rickshaw pullers when the covid-19 pandemic and after the covid-19 pandemic.
