dc.description.abstractDextrin is the result of hydrolysis of starch into sugar by heat, acids or enzymes. Dextrin is highly soluble in hot or cold water, with a relatively low viscosity. This property facilitates the use of dextrins when used in high enough concentrations. Dextrin has good adhesion, therefore in the adhesive industry, dextrin is used as an adhesive on envelopes. The need for dextrin in Indonesia is estimated to continue to increase if viewed from the increasing number of industries that use dextrin as an ingredient in the production process of a product. Therefore, with the establishment of a dextrin factory in Indonesia, it is hoped that it will be able to meet dextrin needs with materials that are easy to obtain and at a low cost so that dextrin products with better economic value can be produced. The dextrin manufacturing plant from Sago starch using the enzymatic hydrolysis process is planned to operate with a production capacity of 30,000 tons/year and 330 working days a year. The planned form of business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a workforce of 105 people. The results of the economic analysis of the dextrin manufacturing plant from sago starch are as follows: •Total Investment Capital=IDR513,839,366,519,- •Total Production Cost=IDR 192,179,548,666,- •Sales Results= IDR 474,295,607,280,- •Net Profit= IDR 183,657,554,001,- •Profit Margin(PM)= 55.32% •BreakEven Point(BEP)= 37.96% •Return on Investment (ROI)= 35.74% •PayOutTime (POT)=2.80 years •Returnon Network (RON)= 51.06% •Internal Rate of Return(IRR)= 41.04% Based on the results of the analysis of economic aspects, it can be concluded that this “Pati sago Dextrin Manufacturing Plant” is feasible to be established.en_US
