Upaya Pencegahan, Pemberantasan, Penyalahgunaan dan Peredaran Gelap Narkoba (P4GN) di Kalangan Pelajar di Kota Tanjung Balai

Abstract

Young people or teenagers are easily influenced by drug abuse, because adolescence is a time when a child experiences rapid changes in all areas, concerning changes in the body, feelings, intelligence, mental attitude, and personality. They tend to be easily influenced because there are many changes and unstable emotions that tend to lead to bad behavior. The spread of drugs has entered the school/campus environment, this is of course concerning. There are many negative sides of drugs, but students rarely think objectively, all they know is fun. This student behavior is part of a social disease or social disease. Obviously, this makes many parents feel restless and worried about the development and growth of their children outside the home environment. The research was conducted at the National Narcotics Agency, Tanjungbalai City. The main informant in this study is the Head of the National Narcotics Agency of Tanjungbalai City. As well as key informants, namely the Head of Prevention and Empowerment and one of the school teachers in Tanjungbalai. Additional informants in this study are one of the people of the city of Tanjungbalai. Data collection techniques with literature study, in-depth interviews, and observation. Data obtained in the field were then analyzed by researchers who were described qualitatively. Until finally conclusions can be drawn from the results of the study. The results of this study are an illustration of the efforts made both for prevention and eradication that have been carried out by the Tanjungbalai City National Narcotics Agency. Prevention efforts that have been made include: carrying out information dissemination, namely outreach about drug abuse, making billboards, using social media by carrying out drug stop campaigns, carrying out mentoring and training for teachers and school principals. Then efforts to eradicate drugs were carried out by carrying out rajia at night entertainment, carrying out urine tests at schools and creating an anti-drug task force for students and teachers.
