dc.description.abstractThis study aims to see the correlation between ethnic identity and prosocial behavior of Mandailing tribe students at North Sumatra university. The subjects in this study amounted to 115 people with characteristics of students at the University of North Sumatra who came from the Mandailing tribe. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The data collection method uses a Likert scale, namely the ethnic identity scale (Multigroup Ethnic Identity Measure) and the prosocial behavior scale (Prosocial Tendencies Measure). The data analysis method in this study used the Pearson product moment test method with a p-value of 0.004 where p <0.005. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between ethnic identity and prosocial behavior in Mandailing tribe students at USU, thus indicating that if the ethnic identity of Mandailing tribe students at USU is at a high level, the higher the prosocial behavior of the Mandailing tribe students. This contains disclosure so that ethnic identity in Mandailing tribe students at USU can be noticed and improved because it has a relationship with prosocial behavior in Mandailing tribe students at USUen_US
