Motivation is very important in increasing employee morale and morale, which ultimately leads to increased individual productivity and of course affects organizational productivity. Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL) is a study of the positive and negative impacts of a planned activity or project and is one of the programs of the City of Binjai Environment Agency. This study uses the ERG (existence, relatedness, growth) theory of motivation from Clayton Paul Alderfer and this study also aims to determine the extent to which motivation influences employee work productivity in carrying out an environmental impact analysis (AMDAL) at the Binjai City Environment Agency. This research was conducted with an inferential quantitative approach. Based on inferential analysis means that the method uses statistical formulas and the results of their calculations are used as a guide in making general conclusions. This study used simple linear regression with the help of the SPSS version 25 program. The population of this study were employees at the City of Binjai Environment Agency with a sample of 32 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire using non-probability sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that overall, based on the results of inferential analysis, the variables of motivation (X) and work productivity (Y) have a significant value of 0.184 > 0.05 and tcount -1.361 <ttable 2.042. This shows that H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted. This means that it has no effect because it gets the phenomenon that employees at work experience a demotivation phase, so they are less enthusiastic and result in decreased work productivity in the Binjai City environmental service. Furthermore, based on the results of the Determination Test it is known that the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.058. Based on the determination test of the motivation variable on employee work productivity, it has an influence of 5.8% in carrying out an environmental impact analysis (AMDAL) at the Binjai City Environment Agency. While 94.2% is influenced by other factors.en_US
