Patchouli oil is an essential oil obtained from patchouli leaves (Pogostemon cablin benth) by distillation or extraction. The results of smallholder plantation production with a production of 1.8 thousand tons in 2021. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of variations in microwave wave power on the characteristics of patchouli essential oil obtained. The quality characteristics of patchouli oil refer to SNI 06-2385-2006. Patchouli will be dried and distilled using the microwave assisted hydro-distillation method at 180, 300 and 450 watts of power. With variations in the mass of raw materials 30, 40 and 50 g. And the extraction time for 30, 60 and 120 minutes. The highest yield of essential oil was produced at a power variation of 450 watts with a mass of raw material 30 g 60 minutes at 7.16%. However, this variation did not produce the quality of patchouli essential oil in accordance with SNI 06-2385-2006. Patchouli oil is produced that meets SNI 06-2385-2006 at a variation of 300 watts; 40 g; 30 minutes with patchouli alcohol content of 42%, refractive index 1.515 and density 0.953 g/ml.
