dc.description.abstractBatang Toru forest area has an area of approximately 120.000 ha divided into 3 block that is eastern block, western block and Sibual-buali block is separated by the Sumatran rift valley. This study is aimed investigate the characteristics of capture of wildlife, activity and the hunting methods hunter use, species of wildlife the hunters catch, knowing the wildlife of flow trade and calculate the economic value of wildlife in the Batu Horing Village. Data collected by interviews method using a questionnaire. The sample collection technique is done using the snowball sampling tehnique. Data were analyzed using analysis descriptive. Wildlife economic data were analyzed using analytical methods of economic value of wildlife. Results showed that all respondents are in the productive age group. Wildlife capture were made using trap, resin, hound, hornet, spear and air rifle. Wildlife hunters catch is 16 kinds. Economic value of wildlife in the Batu Horing Village is Rp 199.950..000,00/year.en_US
