The Karo people in Ujung Deleng Village are a village where the majority work as farmers and usually use plants that are around them as ingredients for natural beauty treatments. Knowledge about the use of plants as natural cosmetic ingredients is a local wisdom that has begun to diminish today. This study aims to identify the types of plants that are used as natural cosmetic ingredients, identify plants that are often used as natural cosmetic ingredients, find out the level of community knowledge about the use of plants as natural cosmetic ingredients, and identify parts of plants that are used as natural cosmetic ingredients in Karo people in Ujung Deleng Village, Kutabuluh District, Karo District. Data were obtained through interviews, field observations and literature studies. Respondents were determined through a purposive sampling technique with a total of 30 people. The research results showed that there were 21 types of plants that had the potential to be used as natural beauty care ingredients. The plant most often used as a natural cosmetic ingredient by the Karo tribe in Ujung Deleng Village, Kutabuluh District, is Kemiri. The parts of the plants used as natural cosmetic ingredients for the karo tribe in Ujung Deleng Village are fruits, tubers, fruit skins, leaves, stems and roots. The level of public knowledge regarding the use of plants as natural cosmetic ingredients is high.
