| dc.description.abstract | Anemia in pregnant women is a condition where there is a decrease in hemoglobin levels
in the blood. Anemia in pregnancy will have a bad effect, especially during pregnancy, childbirth
and postpartum. Normally the mother-to-be is iron depleted and gives the fetus only a small
amount of iron needed for normal iron metabolism. Furthermore, they become anemic and the
mother's Hb falls below 11gr% during the third trimester. This senior practical report aims to
provide nursing care to pregnant women with anemia. Nursing care carried out for pregnant
women with anemia aims to have low tolerance for physical activity, shortness of breath during
light activities, and easily tired when the degree of anemia gets worse, clinical signs and symptoms
become clearer, such as: decreased performance and endurance, apathy, restlessness, impaired
cognitive and concentration, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, orthostatic hypotension,
aswell as pallor throughout the body, and a systolic murmur over the heart's mitral valve. The
intervention given to treat anemia is to take iron supplements every day can reduce the risk of
prolonged anemia and can increase Hb levels in pregnant women. The results of the evaluation
showed that after the nursing care actions were given, the anemia nursing problem could be
