Indonesia becomes one from top twelve countries which send the most tourist to South
Korea. But because there is a language barrier, the Indonesian tourist found it difficult
to have some communication and get an information. Especially in terms of finding a
restaurant and kind of food. The augmented reality (AR) based translator is one of digital
approach that help reduce the language barrier. Using augmented reality (AR) to display
the translation of the restaurant signboard with Korean characters (Hangeul) and the
food type models, help the tourist to find out more information and references of food
they want to consume.
